It was another nice Christmas for any Arlingtonian eating alone on Christmas Day. Over fifty meals were served, or delivered, by an amazing group of volunteers. Although this was the 32^nd year of our event, it seemed to be one of the best.

Special thanks to the Arlington Lodge of Elks for donating their facility (for 32 years), the Council on Aging for the use of their van and to a great group of volunteers. Our chefs, Pat Casey and Lynne Cabral, our drivers, Don Boudreau and Ted Griffin, our team of helpers, Dan and Margaret Haywood and their three daughters, Kim, Emily and Megan, Steve Rae and daughter Molly Casey, Peter Corwin, Casey West (daughter of Pat Casey), , Bernie Scannell and Elaine Bowes. Festive gifts were provided by Don Conroy through the generosity of the TJX Companies.

We are looking forward to next year.

Are you an Arlingtonian who will be eating alone on Christmas Day? My team of volunteers and I would like to personally invite you to join us and many other Arlingtonians for Christmas Dinner. This tradition, now in its 32^nd year, was started by my father and our family in 1977. It does not matter if you are rich or poor, old or young; you are invited.

There is no cost, we can provide transportation, it’s a lot of fun and the food is excellent. A full Dinner will be served at the Arlington Lodge of Elks at 12:30 p.m., on Christmas Day. If you are unable to attend, we will deliver a meal to your home. But, it is a lot more enjoyable to enjoy dinner in a friendly, warm setting, sharing the day with others.
