Arlingtonians Welcome Paul Revere Re-Enactment Rider at Arlington Town Hall

 
Thanks to all who came out on Sunday to cheer along the Parade route and on Monday to welcome Paul Revere and William Dawes at the Arlington Town Hall!

This year’s parade on Sunday honored the Greeley family and our very own, friend and colleague,  Brian Greeley.  Brian died last year and was honored by this year’s parade for his years of service.

On Monday, April 16th, Arlington again become Menotomy as we celebrated our Town’s importance on the first day of the American Revolution.  

Arlington residents came out in force to greet re-enactment riders Paul Revere and William Dawes. Children made welcome signs for the riders with craft materials, activities provided by the Arlington Historical Society, music from the colonial era performed by Diane Taraz, and refreshments were served.

Monday’s festivities were hosted by the Arlington Committee on Tourism and Economic Development and sponsored by BOWES Real Estate.

Thanks again for all who participated.  We are already looking forward to next year!

Paul Revere and William Dawes To Ride Through Arlington MA on Monday

On Monday, April 16th, Arlington again becomes Menotomy as we celebrate our Town’s importance on the first day of the American Revolution.  

Join your fellow Menotomians at the Arlington Town Hall as we greet re-enactment riders Paul Revere and William Dawes. Make a welcome sign for the riders with craft material provided. Children’s dress-up activity with photo by the Arlington Historical Society.  Music from the colonial era performed by Diane Taraz.  Snacks and light food will be available.

No Arlingtonian should be alone on Christmas Day.  You are now invited to attend our Annual Christmas Dinner and share the day with many other Arlington residents. (We call them new friends!)  

Every year since 1977, the BOWES family has extended an invitation to anyone eating alone on this special day. We host a wonderful turkey dinner, with all the trimmings, at the Arlington Lodge of Elks.  Dinner is prepared and served by our amazing group of volunteers who look forward to meeting new and familiar faces each year.

It is a fun filled day and a great way to spend the afternoon. There is no charge and transportation to and from the dinner is available. The only requirements are that you are an Arlington resident and that you would otherwise be eating alone.

You may reserve a space by calling me at 781-645-0550.  So, please accept this invitation and don’t procrastinate! We want you to share your Christmas Day with us and look forward to meeting you.
